Meet the Gosnell family
Hi, We’re the Gosnell’s, and have been a part of the BCS family for 4 years!
Our daughter Romey started in the BCS Preschool as a Happy Hopper and is currently in 1st grade. Our son Nash, also started in the BCS Preschool as a Happy Hopper, and is currently in Pre-K as a Busy Bee. There are no words to express the love that our kids have received at this amazing school as well as the strong education that goes along with it. In searching for a school we were drawn to BCS for the environment and Biblical teachings that follow the foundations we implement in our home. The administration, teachers and staff truly live out the mission statement of 'Loving God and Loving People'. Our family has been blessed with this opportunity to attend a Christian school with abounding love and acceptance.
Meet the Linder family!
Hello! We are the Linder Family. We moved to Grand Junction from Florida in 2005. Our oldest daughter Raegan is currently a senior with ABEKA Academy and our youngest, Kynadee is in Mrs. Rowcliffe’s kinder class. Christian Education is very important to us, not only the Core, traditional academic approach, but also the focus on Biblical teaching. We are so very thankful for the Christ-centered education Kynadee is receiving at BCS. Before choosing, BCS, we did a lot of research on beliefs, curriculum, and atmosphere. We are blessed to be a part of the Bookcliff family. It is evident that the teachers and staff love the Lord, love the students, and love people. Love God, Love people, perfect mission statement for Bookcliff Christian School.

Hi! My name is Aric Harper, and I am excited for the opportunity to share a little bit about our family, our faith and our experience with Bookcliff Christian School. My wife, Wenona, is an RN and works as the head of Quality Assurance for Critical Nurse Staffing. I am a Manufacturing Engineer with Walker Products (I’m nerdy and I know it). Skylar has been attending BCS since he started kindergarten and is now in 2nd grade.
Skylar came into our lives in an unusual way. We are actually his grandparents. We started providing primary care for him when he was 4 months old, and have had full custody since he was 8 months old. Skylar is God’s perfect answer to my heartfelt prayers. Wenona and I were not able to have our own children, and I poured out my heart so many times to God, longing for the chance to raise my own child. As the years passed, I accepted that the answer was no. Then Skylar came. He is a reminder every day that our Father in Heaven knows us, hears us and loves us. I can’t imagine how He could have answered my prayers more perfectly. We feel a tremendous burden to raise Skylar “in the fear and knowledge of the Lord,” as I am sure all parents here do. Every child is a gift from God, but not many come in the form Skylar did.
When we first started searching for a school for Skylar, we wanted to avoid public school if possible. We looked at charter schools, but they didn’t feel right. After having a tour at BCS, we knew God had led us to the right place. We were drawn by the small class sizes, the rigorous academics and the focus on Jesus as Lord and Savior. Looking back over two and a half years at BCS, I believe without hesitation that we made the right decision for Skylar and for us.
Meet Joseph & Makayla Lambert and their family. Hear about their son's experience at Bookcliff.
We are Joseph and Makayla Lambert. We have two little boys, one who currently attends Bookcliff and another who will be right behind him! When we thought about school for our oldest we knew we did not want to put him in public school if possible. We prayed about homeschooling but did not feel that it would be beneficial for our son. We knew about Bookcliff Christian School and have attended the church for a couple of years now, so we felt drawn to idea of our children attending. We prayed about putting our son Liam there and we are so grateful for Bookcliff being our answered prayer. Liam went to pre-school for one year and absolutely thrived! When he started, he was a little bit behind, but he learned a lot very quickly and soon he was right on track for kindergarten. He learned so much more academically than we truly anticipated, and he also learned so much about Jesus; we were honestly blown away. He loved school, his teachers were truly amazing, and we knew that we wanted to keep him at Bookcliff for as long as possible. He is currently in Kindergarten and still doing so well! Once again we are blown away with how much he is learning. The teachers we have had the past two years have been incredible and you can tell how much they truly care about each child in their class. They are dedicated to giving their students the best education, really helping them learn and understand, and doing everything they can to point these precious kids back to God. We are grateful for Bookcliff Christian School and all the incredible teachers and staff that make it such a wonderful environment for our son! We can’t wait to see how much more both of our boys will learn and gain from their years of school at BCS.
I can’t begin to thank my daughters teachers and staff at Bookcliff enough for all of the care and encouragement they have giving her this year. As a parent with a child who had not been in daycare or in anyone’s care other than her grandmothers it was terrifying for me to leave her at first. She has grown so much over the last year and I am so thankful my husband and I made the decision to take her to Bookcliff.
Yes, we would recommend BCS to others! Children receive the utmost attention and care, and parents are valued members of the education team.

We are extremely happy with the learning & teaching, friendly staff, and the lessons are daughter is learning.
The whole staff has made us feel so welcomed and we love that is such a Christ centered facility. We looked for a long time for a place that will nurture our child in not only emotional but spiritually.
This is our second year at BCS and my daughter loves every single teacher here! I have been amazed at all the skills and knowledge she has picked up at BCS. We have tried other preschools in the valley and no one compares. BCS offers so much more than we found anywhere else. It is always clean, the teachers are always genuinely happy and pleasant, and they cultivate a happy positive atmosphere that my daughter is thriving in.
The teachers and staff at BCPS have been so incredible, I couldn’t be happier with the school. Thanks for another great year and we are looking forward to next year!

Going to BCS gave me a very firm standing in my Christian faith. The teachers there were able to show me Christ in ways that have remained with me through my adolescence and that I plan to carry on into adulthood as well. Spending time with strong Christians at such a formidable age helped me become the person I am today.
I am so thankful my parents were able to send me to a Christian school with such loving and caring staff and teachers. It was a different transition from public to private school. I can’t say I didn’t make mistakes, but through God’s grace I made it through high school still wanting to go to church and not straying away from God’s plans for me. Which makes BCS’s motto verse, Proverbs 22:6, perfect: “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he will NOT depart from it.” Thank you teachers, staff, and friends of BCS!
During my time at BCS, I was able to form close, lifelong relationships with many people. BCS instilled in me positive values that have served me well in my jobs, high school, and college career. Most importantly, however, BCS gave me a solid foundation in Christian values and knowledge that has blossomed into a passionate relationship with Jesus—and I will always be thankful for that
