The Hammer Family
Meet the Hammer family and hear how they relocated to Grand Junction, found BCS and stayed:
In Spring 2018, our family moved to Grand Junction from the Front Range. Our biggest decision was finding a new school. We took a a tour at BCS, met the teachers, and learned about the programs. Everyone was so kind and took such an interest in our children. We knew God’s peace immediately. Everyone reflected God's love there and it was such a safe place. Our oldest was welcomed into preschool immediately. We also enrolled for summer-care, and enjoyed Basketball and Art Camp.
Our next decision was where he would go to Kindergarten. We both grew up in public schools, but were leaning towards a charter school. After searching, praying, and discussing with other parents, God led us to "keep a good thing going" at BCS. Since that time, our family has never regretted this decision! We cannot say more amazing and wonderful things about this school and all those who work there.
What they’ve learned so quickly has been astounding: reading, computers, mathematics, music, etc. are normal learning activities in Kindergarten…amazing! I constantly tell everyone about all the things they experience and how “I’ve never learned this much in school at their age!” Our children are excelling beyond our wildest hopes, not only academically, but spiritually! When they come home with memorized Bible verses, or address issues by first saying “we should pray about this" and loving God more each day; we know that this was the best decision we’ve made for our children.
Of all the decisions we had to make after moving to a new city, choosing Bookcliff has been our best. We know all of the teachers, not just the ones our children have, but ALL of them. Bookcliff really feels like a family and we've made amazing friends that have helped us transition to a new home. We are so thankful to God for leading us here. Thank you Bookcliff for your dedication to the students, your superior academic and extramural programs, to all of the teachers (PE, Music, Library, etc.), all of the staff, and especially your faithfulness as a pillar of Christian love! We are now and forever part of the Bobcat Family!!
Thank you to the Hammers for sharing their story, for joining the BCS family, and for all of your volunteer service in the classrooms and events!
