Art & Science

Art Heritage Program

Each month, art units are presented based upon well-known artists and cultural art forms. Students learn about an artist's life and times, view presentations of the artist's work,  learn about their particular style, time period, culture, and works.  Then, they get to create themselves, using each unique form of art.  Lessons include print-making, sculpting, painting, drawing, weaving, copper embossing, and other art skills. Curriculum meets the Colorado Department of Education Visual Arts Standards.

The Art Heritage Program provides a unique experience students enjoy and remember.  Mrs. Biocic is passionate about art and is excited to lead this program at BCS.  Art can open up their minds to the way we look at everyday objects, give them an outlet to create, and a positive release for their emotions.
