Meet the Lambert family and hear their story of leaving and returning to BCS:
We are the Lambert family. My name is Erin, my husband is Jeremy and our six year old daughter is Allie. My husband and his family have been Bookcliff Baptist members for 30+ years and I began attending with Jeremy 11 years ago. Allie attended BCS pre-school and had a wonderful experience. Heading into Kindergarten, we struggled with whether to send her to BCS or public school. We continually went back and forth on the decision. Public school was free, near our house, offered 1/2 days, and we wouldn't have to worry about the transition from private to public when the time came.
Meet the Sanchez family and hear how God led them to serve our school and our community:
Hello, my name is Chelsee Sanchez and I am a preschool teacher at BCS! My husband, Josh and I got married 7 years ago in Hawaii, where he was stationed for the army. After four years we moved to the northwest trying to find what our life was meant for. Eventually, we moved to Josh’s hometown, GJ, where we started our family. Our first child Alana Wrynn was born and two years later our son, Remington Charles was born. Josh and I grew up very differently. His family didn’t have much involvement in a church where as my family was constantly involved. I grew up attending youth group and camps, and a mission trip to Mexico. When I met Josh, our differing religious backgrounds wasn’t a concern for me, I felt he was meant for me. For the first couple years of marriage we chose not to attend church or talk about religion, because it became an argument.
Meet the Hammer family and hear how they relocated to Grand Junction, found BCS and stayed:
In Spring 2018, our family moved to Grand Junction from the Front Range. Our biggest decision was finding a new school. We took a a tour at BCS, met the teachers, and learned about the programs. Everyone was so kind and took such an interest in our children. We knew God’s peace immediately. Everyone reflected God's love there and it was such a safe place. Our oldest was welcomed into preschool immediately. We also enrolled for summer-care, and enjoyed Basketball and Art Camp.
Our next decision was where he would go to Kindergarten. We both grew up in public schools, but were leaning towards a charter school. After searching, praying, and discussing with other parents, God led us to "keep a good thing going" at BCS. Since that time, our family has never regretted this decision! We cannot say more amazing and wonderful things about this school and all those who work there.
